GitHub sits at the center of the world's software transformation, where over 100 million developers collaborate on software development projects and more than 1.3 million have used GitHub Copilot, the first at-scale AI developer tool to hit the market.We are looking for a Finance Manager - Github Revenue to join the GitHub Strategic Finance team and work in a highly collaborative, dynamic, and fun environment. This individual will work across the entire GitHub product portfolio and be responsible for working closely in GitHub’s joint go-to-market (GTM) efforts across the GitHub and Microsoft sales teams. The GTM for GitHub continues to rapidly evolve – this role will also support GitHub’s Partner and scale motions tied to how GitHub scales growth beyond the direct capacity of the sales teams. Lastly, this individual will play an instrumental role in building pipeline- and customer-based insights for our finance team which will better inform our forward-looking perspective on the business and provide customer-level color behind our growth.The successful candidate has expertise ownership, business partnering, collaboration, and analytical skills, as well as a proven track record of driving clarity and shared understanding. Joint Sales across GitHub and MSFT teams : partner deeply with GitHub and MSFT sales teamsto understand monthly business trends & financial results, and influence strategic and tactical decisions that supportGitHub’s growth ambitions. Create bridges between teams and ensure shared understanding.

GitHub Partner and scale motions : work closely with GitHub and MSFT teams to measure performance, define success and set budgets forGitHub’s rapidly evolving partner and scale motions.

Pipeline & Customer Insights : help build financial muscle for tracking, monitoring and influencing GitHub pipeline through stitching together data and story across multiple sources & systems (GitHub and MSFT sales). Leverage pipeline and customer stories to build cross-product, customer level insights.

Analytical/ strategic frameworks : bring thought leadership to the GitHub business through establishment of financial frameworks to inform both strategy and execution.

Protect : ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring the accuracy of financial documents and business processes. Drive corrective measures. Support questions regarding documentation, policy adherence, and requirements. Recommend approved instruments and processes. Remain current on all company policies and procedures and update others.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field

OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field

OR equivalent experience.

This role does require you to be onsite 3+ days a week in Redmond, WA or ATLANTA, GA (hub)

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Experience with forecasting and/or setting financial targets for revenue is a plus

Business Intuition: reliable understanding of key drivers of a SaaS business

Strategic thinking: ability to see the big picture and connect the dots across multiple workstreams

Interpersonal Skills: build trust and effectively collaborate across multiple functions, teams, and personalities

Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal storyteller with the ability to distill and simplify complex financial concepts for all audiences

Detail Oriented: affinity for attention to detail and accuracy

Technical skills: experience with sophisticated financial modeling and complex data sets

Deep understanding of MS Sales is a plus

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
