(Job Description)Very large logistics and transportation company located in Puyallup, WA is currently hiring for a Export Logistics Coordinator.Pay - $25.96/hr.Location - Puyallup, WA (Fully Onsite; Changing to Hybrid in Future)CONSIDERING LOCAL APPLICANTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY RESIDING IN WASHINGTON STATE AS WE'RE UNABLE TO SUPPORT RELOCATION AT THIS TIMESchedule - 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM PST (Monday - Friday)Contract Duration - 3-9 Months Contract to start with high potential for extension / conversion to FTE(Summary of Key Responsibilities) Provides high touch, exemplary customer service. Builds strong relationships with customers and vendors. Contributes to the team success, assisting team members as workload permits. Possesses a strong attention to detail, meeting accuracy requirements. Performs input and release of documents within stringent accuracy, meeting all regulatory obligations and timing requirements. Performs production and distribution of cargo manifests. Transmits manifest and other required data elements via Electronic Data Interface (EDI). Performs vessel dispatch, coordination of terminal activity for inbound cargo. Monitors customs cargo release, holds, and resolve related issues. Monitors steamship release and communicate invoice/collection concerns on a timely basis. Works with vendors to schedule and deliver import cargo. Assists with vendor rate negotiations. Provides transportation vendors with timely, accurate work orders. Oversees all aspects of inland movement to delivery of cargo in a time sensitive, cost-effective manner. Tracks cargo from origin to destination, notifying customers of any delays or problems with cargo movement or delivery. Coordinates empty container disposition with Logistics team to optimize asset utilization. Assists with pricing and cargo routing decisions to best meet customers’ needs and company's cost objectives. Assists with service contract and tariff review/audit, ensures proper rates in the internal system. Processes all elements necessary to complete export bookings within regional vessel allocations. Coordinates vessel terminal activity for outbound cargo. Provides support services internally to regional sales managers and agents in North America and Asia. Provides support services to external customers, including developing and maintaining specialized customer reporting as needed. Positively engages within a cross functional team and support team and company goals. Participates in cross training and teaming to support other roles within the delivery center and across other business departments. Collaborates with team, customer service management, the Business Application Manager and Data Administrator with system testing, enhancements, process efficiencies and reduction of manual work arounds and identify best practices. Successfully works in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and high email volume. Interfaces directly with other business segments or support teams (such as Accounting, Finance, Vessel Operations, Pricing, Sales, Forest Products, Project Cargo). Reviews and approves invoice queues on a timely basis. Performs problem solving, with cost analysis of proposed resolutions. Follows business processes and procedures for compliance, to meet regulatory obligations, and to support proper upstream and downstream workflows, to minimize negative impacts to other functional teams or business departments(Qualification Requirements)

Minimum of 2-3+ years of experience (Transportation / Maritime, Logistics / Supply Chain industry experience is highly preferred)

A minimum of 3 years of business experience in Customer Service, working with high volume email correspondence (200-400 email/day)

Business experience in the Transportation and Logistics Industry preferred.
