Read, interpret, and understand manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventative (PM) task sheets, and safety policies
Perform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdown repairs
Perform specific duties during both production and non-production hours in a timely manner
Monitor performance of equipment and inform maintenance and production supervisors of potential issues
Maintain log books by applying math skills through the equipment PM stages in order to calibrate machinery to performance standards
Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters
Must not have exposure to poultry or birds outside of work
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent
Experience Requirements
1-3 years experience in maintenance
Reading, writing and analytical skills are required
Good mechanical ability
Basic understanding of AC and DC electrical systems
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is active with routine on the floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems
Must be able to obtain company certification for use of pallet jack, scissor lift, and forklift
May need to move equipment occasionally
May need to access files, supplies, and equipment
Occasional exposure to outside ambient temperatures
Exposure to temperatures ranging from 55 - 105 degrees
Humidity up to 100%
Work in wet, damp, dusty (chicken down) environment
Exposure to chemicals and vaccines used in a Hatchery Process
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by company
