On call for Hatchery alarms
Load incubators with eggs at scheduled times directed by management
Read, interpret, and understand manufacturers’ equipment manuals, preventative maintenance (PM) task sheet, and safety policies
Perform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdowns
Perform specific duties during both production and non-production hours in a timely manner adhering to OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Company safety regulations
Monitor performance of equipment and inform maintenance and production supervisor of potential issues
Maintain log books by applying math skills through the equipment PM stages in order to calibrate machinery to performance standard
Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters
Must not have exposure to Poultry or birds outside of work
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent
Experience Requirements
0-2 years
Reading, writing, and analytical skills are required
Must have a valid driver’s license
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is active with routine on the floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems
Must be able to obtain company certification for use of pallet jack, scissor lift, and forklift
May need to access files, supplies, and equipment
Exposure to temperatures ranging from 55- 105 degrees
Humidity up to 100%
Work in wet, damp, dusty (chicken down) environment
Occasional exposure to outside ambient temperatures
Exposed to chemicals and vaccines to be covered in SDS training and hazardous communications
Must use personal protective equipment as required for the job as described by company
