Position Title: Technical Media Producer - PT

Status: Part-time, non-exempt

About us: NonStop Local Tri-Cities is Eastern Washington’s leader in local news, weather and sports coverage on television and digital platforms! Affiliated with the NBC network, KNDU is a proud member of KHQ Incorporated and Cowles Montana Media.

About this opportunity: KNDU-TV is looking for a Technical Media Producer. TMP’s as we call them are the true Swiss Army Knives of the KNDU newsroom. TMP's do everything from edit video, operate studio cameras, prepare the studio for broadcast, shoot breaking news, write web and newscast stories, and countless other responsibilities. So you have to be technically savvy, adaptable, and producer-minded. The TMP position is frequently used as a springboard to more advanced positions in the newsroom.

Required Qualifications & Skills: Previous experience with a professional broadcast, print, or online news organization is preferred; Non-linear editing experience a plus; Experience with computer programs; Experience with large and handheld video cameras preferred; Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Other Requirements: Passion and dedication to news; A love for video editing and creativity; Ability to meet daily deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members; Must possess a valid driver's license with no DUI convictions.
