Description We are seeking a Medical Scheduler to join our team in Federal Way, WA. As a Medical Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of cases, coordinating appointments with clients, physicians, and patients, as well as handling scheduling-related tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule appointments with clients, physicians, and patients Handle a high volume of cases with strict scheduling timeframes Communicate with clients regarding appointment scheduling, appointment changes, and cancellations Maintain your own desk of scheduling-related tasks, handling a caseload independently Operate within a fast-paced, call center-based environment Use internal software such as MS Teams, Outlook, and the OMS scheduling system for various tasks Enter pre-payment information for appointments, while ensuring no processing is required on your part Perform follow-ups on cases as part of your primary responsibilities Possess a basic understanding of medical terminology and processes within the healthcare industry Adapt quickly to new software platforms and systems.Requirements Proficiency in assisting patients with various scheduling needs Experience in call center customer service within a healthcare setting Strong ability to schedule patient appointments effectively and efficiently Familiarity with basic medical terminology and healthcare industry practices Experience in a fast-paced, high volume call center environment Demonstrated ability to adapt to new scheduling systems and technologies Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions High attention to detail and organizational skills Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations.
