Description There's a career-building position for a Senior Accountant at Robert Half, specifically a long-term contract / temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

Take part in various department-wide initiatives

Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

Complete other projects as required

Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

Requirements

SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate

Experience with ERP systems

This position is suitable for candidates that are proficient in financial reporting systems

Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

Ability to work well with functional department managers

Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel

Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel

Solid understanding of bank reconciliations

Fixed assets experience

Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
