Description We are actively searching for a Data Analyst to join our team in Everett, Washington. This role involves working with financial data, cost accounting, and ERP software systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining standard cost data, analyzing manufacturing variance accounts, assisting in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, and providing support to other accounting staff as needed. This is a contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Develop and maintain standard cost data for new and existing materials to ensure accurate inventory valuation. Work cross-functionally within the site to cost all new daily requests in the ECA database. Perform Bill of Material (BOM) analysis and verification as part of our bills of materials and routings review. Reconcile all production orders properly and recognize them in the correct period, investigating and rectifying any errors or discrepancies. Analyze and investigate manufacturing variance accounts, providing explanations where necessary. Assist with the annual standard cost roll for make and buy materials. Assist in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 implementation and maintain internal control documentation and the testing of internal controls. Provide back up and support to other accounting staff as needed. Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint in performing daily tasks. Use ERP solutions for cost accounting and other relevant tasks. Requirements Possess a University Degree in a relevant field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Familiarity with various database systems and ability to handle materials. Experience in finance, specifically cost accounting and understanding of US GAAP. Familiarity with ERP solutions and ability to track system discrepancies. Ability to perform ad hoc financial reviews and implementations. Knowledge of internal control procedures and compliance. Experience with workstation support and Microsoft technologies. Understanding of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and handling of finished goods. Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Proficiency in verification and rectifying processes.
