Vitamin World, one of the leading Retailers in the Health and Wellness Industry for the past 40 years, is hiring! We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our dynamic team in the Bellis Fair Mall in Bellingham, WA.

If you are upbeat, energetic and performance driven, with proven sales experience and excellent customer service skills, you may be the individual we are looking for to join our team!

Essential Functions:

· Partner with the Manager to provide leadership and enthusiasm to drive exceptional customer

experience, overall operational execution and total store results.

· Assist the Manager in all aspects of operating a retail store including merchandise, inventory and

expense control.

· Lead and execute all company initiatives focusing on meeting sales and profitability goals

· Work with the Store Manager to train, develop and assess performance of all associates to ensure

skillset, product knowledge and operations skills are achieved in order to provide outstanding

customer service.

· Greets and interacts with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to

merchandise, answering questions and making recommendations as appropriate.

· Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations, places special

orders.

· Operate the store point of sale system, accept payment, make change, provide receipts and bag

merchandise for customers.

· Processes returns and exchanges.

· Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting

· Places and rotates merchandise to attract positive attention from customers

· Collaborates with Store Manager to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective advertising

and hiring strategies while driving sales

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required

· Minimum of 2 years of retail sales managerial experience.

· Ability to assess talent, coach, and develop sales associates.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

· Passion for health, nutrition, fitness and helping others.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.

· Must have the ability to lift up to 40lbs (stock). · Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Full time position: 30-40 hours per week. Weekend and holidays as needed.
