This role builds on your experience as a retail, restaurant, bar, or café manager, and provides opportunities to continue developing your professional skills in business operations, merchandising and stock control, omni-channel sales, employee training and development, business development, and marketing within a retail setting, while working both independently and as part of a team.
STORE MANAGER ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Enrich the brand experience with an expertise in sales and service, and manage employees who are passionate about doing the same
Implement retail sales and operational plans, track results, and complete assessments on a monthly, seasonal, and quarterly basis
Collaborate with team members in real time and asynchronously through personal accountability and solutions-based communication

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations
Achieve company targets; partner with Owners to support retail strategies, company initiatives, and responsible operations
Ensure accurate information in the point-of-sale, communications, and company tools and resources
Stock inventory, maintain presentation standards, ensure a clean and shoppable store, and keep physical and digital workspaces organized
Control retail shrinkage through data-informed stock control practices, responsible cash handling, and compliance with operating procedures
Track orders, receive stock, process merchandise, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers
Oversee the maintenance and security of company property, equipment, hardware, software, inventory, collateral, and other company assets
Stay up-to-date on industry news and trends, job knowledge, and community events as well as FDA alerts, advisories, or safety information
Drive to pick up and/or drop off inventory, orders, supplies, and other collateral (mileage reimbursed)
Human Resources
Model and foster an environment of relevant, organized, actionable, and professional two-way communication
Create, maintain, and update documentation for team updates, store procedures, product knowledge, and employee training and development
Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and personal information by following secure and organized businesses practices
Recruit, develop, and manage employees, including scheduling, auditing timesheets, and approving requests for time-off
Customer Service and Omni-Channel Sales
Earn trust from customers and team members through engaged interactions, helpful responses, follow through, consistency, and dependability
Know all customer service and omni-channel selling practices, and lead a team that delivers on company standards
Ensure the team has a multifaceted understanding of products and services, and maintain a continued awareness of company offerings and updates
Ensure the overall level of customer service and resolve customer care concerns as well as mentor employees to establish rapport with interpersonal skills
COMPENSATION:
$22.50-$26.00 per hour, plus applicable overtime
Monthly parking pass and mileage reimbursement
PAID SICK LEAVE:
One hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked in compliance with Washington State’s Paid Sick Leave Law
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of spreadsheets, including data entry, basic formulas, filter and sort data, format, find and replace, and copy and paste
General knowledge of human resources, including employee management, and scheduling and time clocking
General knowledge of responsible cash handling procedures
Pre-employment background verification
Documentation to show identity and authorization to work
Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
At least 18 years of age
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Use business equipment, including point-of-sale, cash register, printer, phone, box cutter, up to four steps on a step stool or ladder, bluetooth devices, commercial cleaning supplies, price gun, and fire extinguisher
Work in a digital environment, including iPad, iPhone, bluetooth devices, iOS applications for productivity software and business operations, and tablet-based note taking for up to 100% of scheduled hours
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide triple digit numbers to support common retail practices and ensure information is entered into systems correctly
Reach, carry, bend, squat, kneel, stoop, lift, and climb in the process of receiving and handling inventory, merchandising the sales floor, providing customer service, fulfilling orders, cleaning store and workspaces, and moving furniture, fixtures, and store signage
Perform repetitive tasks, including data entry, counting inventory, fulfilling orders, and pricing stock
Work with small objects, including reading small letters and numbers
Push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
Stand, walk, and move around for up to 100% of scheduled work hours
Work a schedule that may change from week to week, and include weekends, holidays, and nights
Arrive to work on time and complete scheduled work hours (subject to any protected leave or emergency store closure)
Speak, read, and write in English
Operate a vehicle in the process of picking up business orders or company supplies
