ATSI has been Making Sustainability Possible: Since 1982. We do environmental science, land use, and mitigation, and we are currently looking to fill the Planning Assistant position.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will work closely with the Managing Partner to perform feasibility duties on specific parcels and other regulatory work.

At times, be able to:

- Be on your feet for eight or more hours at a time

- Navigate thick underbrush including blackberries for eight or more hours at a time

- Navigate over and through downed forestry as well as in dense woods for eight or more hours at a time

- Dig several holes about 12-24 inches deep 4" in diameter

Ideal Experience

1. Project Coordination or Management: Previous experience in coordinating or managing projects, ideally in related fields such as urban planning, architecture, engineering, or environmental sciences.

2. Regulatory Compliance: Experience in navigating and interpreting regulations, including permitting processes.

3. Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with clients, government officials, contractors, and community members.

4. Feasibility Studies and Data Analysis: Experience in conducting feasibility studies and data analysis.

5. Strategic Planning: Involvement in strategic or long-term planning efforts.

6. Technical Experience: Hands-on experience with relevant technical tools and software.

Training Approach

1. Mentorship: Pair the trainee with a mentor who has extensive experience in the field.

2. On-the-Job Training: Provide opportunities for hands-on experience in various aspects of the role.

4. Cross-Disciplinary Projects: Involve the trainee in cross-disciplinary projects to broaden their understanding and skills.

Compensation

$20-25/HR. based on experience
