Position: Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver

Schedule: Full Time Position, Tuesday - Friday 40hrs/week, Occasional Overtime Needed

Reports to: Brewery Operations Manager

Education Requirement: High School diploma / GED

Age: 21 or above

Compensation: $20 - $26 per hour depending on experience. Medical Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Leave, 6 Paid Holidays, SIMPLE IRA plan, monthly beer benefits, and biannual merchandise gift cards. Vision, dental, and accident coverage available at employee’s expense, at a group rate.

Warehouse Experience: Prior experience with picking, shipping, receiving and inventory control strongly preferred. Prior experience operating forklifts in a warehouse/production environment strongly preferred.

Delivery Driving Experience: Prior experience preferred with a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record a must.

Others Requirements: Attention to detail, meticulous cleanliness, concise and thorough communicator, and the ability to work long, strenuous hours while staying positive.

Kulshan is seeking a hard working individual to fill a full-time Warehouse/Delivery position at our production facility. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about craft beer, has previously worked in a warehouse setting, a team oriented individual, and accustomed to physical labor. Previous experience working in a brewery is not required.

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver is responsible for all shipping/receiving to and from the brewery as well as warehouse organization and assisting with inventory management. This will include transferring ingredients, packaging materials, finished goods and equipment between multiple production facilities, taprooms and storage areas; organizing packaging materials and finished goods; counting inventory; stocking taprooms; communicating with co-workers to ensure they have what they need to perform their duties; and performing various tasks as part of a team in support of operations, production and delivery staff. A primary responsibility of this position will be ensuring beer is shipped to customers, including loading distributor orders onto their trucks, and delivering to our direct wholesale accounts.

General Warehouse

- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for a variety of warehousing tasks

- Lead general organization and cleanliness of warehouse areas, cold storage and keg yard; including, but not limited to, finished goods, cooperage, dunnage, packaging supplies, raw materials and chemicals

- Assist with organization and cleanliness of production areas and taproom coolers

- Carry out all material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory control and other warehouse tasks as required

- Stage, audit and remove packaging materials for Packaging Line

- Offload and accurately receive raw materials and packaging supplies via LTL and FTL carriers

- Transfer raw materials, packaging supplies, taproom supplies, equipment and finished goods between warehouse, production facilities and taproom locations using brewery vans, box truck and forklifts as required

- Follow warehouse best practices, including but not limited to: First Expiration First Out (FEFO), batch picking, and inventory lot tracking

- Assist with inventory control, including regular inventory counts and reconciliation

- Complete and return all daily paperwork/logs/data entry (shipping, receiving, transfers, etc) correctly and in a timely manner

- Maintain cleanliness/orderliness of company vehicles and forklifts; complete regular inspection/maintenance reports; report any safety and maintenance issues as necessary

- Communicate daily with Brewery Operations Manager, Packaging Lead, Lead Brewers and Assistant Taproom Managers to ensure co-workers in Production, Sales and Front of House have materials, supplies and finished goods needed to complete their duties.

Taprooms, Wholesale & Distribution

- Pick, stage and load/ship wholesale distributor orders; complete shipping paperwork

- Receive, organize and store cooperage, pallet and product returns; complete receiving paperwork

- Pick, stage and load/ship direct wholesale orders

- Work in tandem with Production Staff to pick, stage and stock Kulshan Taprooms (kegs, cans and bottles) and retail keg inventory as required

Deliveries

- Deliver sales orders to direct wholesale accounts, including unloading, stocking and merchandising as directed

- Collect empty cooperage, tap handles, and item returns from wholesale accounts as necessary

- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers

- Collect money/checks or EFT approvals from accounts upon delivery (per WA LCB requirements)

- Complete necessary “paperwork” for deliveries and returns using desktop and tablet versions of EKOS software

- Job share rotating “East Loop” delivery coverage (Leavenworth, Wenatchee, Chelan, Methow Valley) with other staff, 1-2 times per quarter

Other

- Required regular daily/weekly keg and growler washing duties

- Assist on canning line as required

- Assist with other production tasks (decanting, racking, cleaning, etc) as required

- Ability to work additional and flexible hours as needed

- Have a passion for craft beer and your community

- Occasionally help represent Kulshan Brewing Company at special events
