Night-time janitor/custodian needed for 3 nights a week, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
Your work begins when we are closed (after 6 pm) but your start time is flexible, any 4 to 5 hrs. a night.
Need to be able to work independently. We are a doggie daycare and canine training center. Although you will not be working with the dogs, you will be exposed to dog fur, slobber, and the occasional potty spot.
Tasks Include:
Clean building floors, windows, mirrors, and walls
Clean and supply restrooms
Removing waste and empty trash and recycling.
Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
Logging the need to replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.
Organize janitorial storage areas.
Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or the need for repairs or maintenance.
Pressure wash dog yards.
Being mindful about what should be cleaned as needed.
Clean in accordance with animal care standards
Complete minor tasks and repairs as needed.
Qualifications for Janitor
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
18 yrs. older
Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies.
Ability to read and interpret English written information; ability to write clear statements; and communicate orally.
Must be able to do physical work and our floor operate scrubber.
Lift 50 lbs.
Walk up and down stairs.
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.
Ability to occasionally cover for other janitorial staff.
COVID vaccination, proof required.
Pay:
$20/hr.
