Temporary Janitor – Tails-A-Wagging Doggie Daycare (Bellingham, WA)
Are you a meticulous and reliable individual looking for a temporary evening position? Tails-A-Wagging, Bellingham's premier doggie daycare, is seeking a dedicated Janitor to help us maintain a clean and healthy environment for our furry clients. While this role does not involve direct dog handling, you will be an essential part of keeping our facility sparkling despite the energetic "aftermath" of up to 80 dogs playing daily!
This is a temporary position from June 30th to the end of August.
Responsibilities Include:
Thorough cleaning and sanitization of all indoor and outdoor play areas, kennels, and common spaces.
Operating and maintaining a floor scrubber for large surface cleaning.
Utilizing a pressure washer for deep cleaning of designated areas.
Emptying trash receptacles and managing waste disposal.
Restocking supplies as needed.
General cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and window cleaning.
Adhering to all safety protocols and cleaning procedures.

Given that this role primarily involves working independently after business hours, we are seeking someone who is:

Highly Organized: Capable of managing time effectively to ensure all responsibilities are met within the allocated hours.
Reliable and Punctual: Committed to adhering to the work schedule and completing tasks consistently.
Detail-Oriented: Possesses a keen eye for cleanliness and doesn't shy away from a thorough job.
Comfortable with Animals: While not directly working with dogs, you will be in their environment and encounter them regularly.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position, approximately 22 hours per week, with shifts starting after 6:00 PM.
Tuesday: Evening
Wednesday: Evening
Thursday: Evening
Friday: Evening
Sunday: anytime
Mondays & Saturdays: Off
Compensation:
$20/hour
Requirements:
Fluent in English (written and verbal communication).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Prior experience with floor scrubbers and pressure washers preferred, but not required (training will be provided).
Must be able to pass a background check.
