Join Our Team as an Assistant Deli Manager

As the Assistant Deli Manager you’ll play a key role in supporting the Deli Manager with day-to-day operations while also leading food preparation and kitchen flow. You’ll help create delicious, high-quality meals, maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and guide the deli team to success.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in overseeing daily deli operations, including food prep, service, inventory, and merchandising
Act as lead chef in preparing hot case items, sandwiches, soups, salads, and other deli offerings
Support scheduling, training, and supervising deli staff to maintain a productive and positive work environment
Ensure all food meets quality, portion, and presentation standards
Monitor food rotation and labeling to maintain freshness and meet health department requirements
Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, addressing special requests and inquiries
Help implement new recipes, promotions, and seasonal items in collaboration with the Deli Manager
Uphold cleanliness and organization in all food prep and service areas
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a deli, restaurant, or food service management/lead role
Strong cooking and food preparation skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work with and lead a diverse team
Great customer service and communication skills
Able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods
