Vision:

The Outreach and Admissions Coordinator position specializes in supporting historically underserved “ particularly those of Hispanic or Latino backgrounds and serves as a college representative at college fairs, community events, local school districts, and public activities. This position supports the admissions experience at the College by working directly with diverse groups of prospective students and key stakeholders (e.g. high school counselors and community agencies) to establish and advance relationships. The Outreach and Admissions Coordinator position reports to the Associate Director for Outreach.

A successful candidate will

-Identify, recommend, and conduct outreach, entry, and orientation services to support students of Hispanic or Latino backgrounds.

-Communicate, in Spanish and English, with prospective students and their support network regarding all aspects of the admissions experience and campus resources.

-Represent the college at regional college fairs, information nights, community events, cultural events, and at school districts.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

-Provide thorough, relevant and timely entry advising and referrals to campus resources.

-Travel to recruiting events throughout the region.

-Develop professional relationships with local high school counselors, teachers, principals, alumni, and other identified constituencies.

-Host groups of prospective students, middle school and youth groups, and high school counselors as requested.

Qualifications, Salary and Appointment

Minimum Qualifications:

-Associate's degree from an accredited institution.

-Bilingual/biliterate in Spanish and English.

-Demonstrated experience planning or coordinating events.

-Washington State driver's license, valid insurance, and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

-Demonstrated experience in college or university admissions and recruiting.

-Experience supporting people through the navigation of complex processes.

-Requires punctual and regular attendance and regularly requires evening and weekend. hours.

Salary and Appointment:

-This is a 12-month, full-time Administrative/Exempt position. Exempt from Washington State civil service law with an annual salary based upon a range of $42,000-46,000, depending on experience.
