Seaview Boatyard North, Inc., the Pacific Northwest's premier boatyard and yacht repair facilities located in Bellingham is currently seeking experienced, self-motivated, reliable marine Operations Manager to join our crew.
Concept or Operation: Oversee the performance of all positions, enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of yard production and administrative operations. Some areas require continuing attention including job quality control, discussions and inspections of ongoing work with owners/agents, ensuring all employees/customers follow our Best Management Practices (BMPs) and operating in compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Qualified candidates must be able to perform efficient and effective work as well as watching over a team to include Service Writers, Procurement Specialists, Mechanics, Fiberglass & Fabrication Workers and General Crew. The Operations Manager is expected to maximize billable hours, including his/her own when appropriate and minimize non-billable employee time. In the course of discharging his/her duties, the Operations Manager is expected to focus on the most effective use of yard space, the efficient use of employee talents and experience, effective and timely job costing, safety, compliance with all applicable fire, water quality, environmental regulations and Best Management Practices (BMPs). Direct/Assist the Service Writers with preparing estimates, writing work orders and preparing progress/final customer billings as appropriate and required. Apply skills and knowledge "hands on" in the actual accomplishment of work tasks when appropriate.
Employment Relation: The CEO and President exercise primary authority over all employees. Some responsibilities may be delegated to the Operations Manager on a specific and clearly understood basis, including training, evaluation, recommendations for promotion or termination and the direction and control of assigned leadmen.

Customer Follow Ups
Requirements:
Three years of experience in the marine industry (preferred but not required)
Working Conditions:
Outdoors/Indoors
Occasional exposure to extreme heights
Rare exposure to adverse ventilation conditions where use of a respirator will be required
Additional Comments:
Schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:45 am to 5:00 pm
Must work as part of a team and maintain a good attitude
Must be punctual and have excellent work ethic
