I. PURPOSE OF POSITION

Supervises the counting and posting of all currency revenues from assigned sources and transfers to the cashier cage while complying with established Nooksack Northwood Casino policies and procedures and applicable Federal, State, and Tribal laws and regulations.

II. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

A. Reports Directly to: Accounting Manager

B. Supervises Directly: Soft Count Clerks

III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Supervises and delegates the counting and posting of all monies taken off the gaming floor.

B. Interviews and hires applicants for soft count clerk positions, assigns the work schedule, and trains those employees.

Also responsible for disciplinary actions, reviews and recommends wage increases.

C. Prepares work schedules and maintains proper staffing.

D. Maintains and approves time and attendance reporting.

E. Responsible for contacting and coordinating vendors when there is an equipment failure/issue or for scheduled

maintenance.

F. Coordinates efforts with Surveillance, Security, and operations to ensure the smooth processing of the soft count.

G. Accurately counts, verifies, and documents totals from revenue departments through the use of assigned equipment.

H. Works in compliance with company and department policies and procedures and applicable Federal, State, and

Tribal laws and regulations while practicing positive employee relations.

I. Provides accurate and timely documentation and reporting of department activities and status as requested to the

Revenue Audit and/or TGA.

J. Maintain a professional and neat appearance of work area.

K. Maintain a professional and neat appearance and represent the company in a positive manner.

L. Maintains confidentiality of company and player information.

M. Such other job related duties as may be assigned by instruction from management.

IV. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

A. Required:

1. 1 year casino soft count experience.

2. Demonstrated supervisory experience.

3. Must be available any day, including weekends and holidays.

4. Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Nooksack Tribal Gaming Agency and Class III Washington State Gaming

Commission licenses.

5. Must be at least 21 years of age.

6. Legible handwriting/printing.

7. Demonstrated ability to calculate and verify monetary denominations and use 10-Key.

8. Demonstrated ability to work effectively on multiple tasks.

9. Demonstrated positive customer service skills.

B. Preferred:

1. Previous casino experience.

2. Previous supervisory experience.

V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be able to work in small, confined office space for period of time.

2. Must be able to lift, open and move 5-10lb boxes for a consistent amount of time. Including twisting and turning.

VI. WORKING CONDITIONS

A. May work in a noisy, crowded, and smoke-filled environment.

B. Will be monitored by surveillance cameras.

C. May be required to work various shifts and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
