Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Tysons, Virginia. The role involves managing a range of complex financial tasks in the telecom industry, including account analysis and reconciliation, handling intercompany transactions, and developing business processes and accounting policies. Responsibilities: Analyze and reconcile all balance sheet accounts Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations Navigate complex revenue recognition schedules for leases and loans Complete monthly financial statement close work in accordance with the closing schedule Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate the accounts payable month closing process Answer accounting questions for other business groups and handle accounting issues Contribute to department’s goal setting process and develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy Work with company leadership to improve financial procedures Support special projects as requested Maintain professional and effective communication within the workplace. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations Knowledge of General Ledger management Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite software Knowledge of Oracle software Proficiency in SAP software Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Strong communication and organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.Message Mahil Santram via LinkedIn if interested in this role.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
