Nightwing brings disruptive technologies, agility, and competitive offerings to customers in the intelligence community, defense, civil, and commercial markets.Nightwing is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. Nightwing is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to support this critical customer mission.Responsibilities:Assisting technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignmentsEstablishing goals and plans that meet project objectivesAssisting in direction and control activities, having overall responsibility for security management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are metParticipating in client negotiations and interfacing with senior managementSupporting decision making and domain knowledge that may have a critical impact on overall project implementationProviding support to plan, coordinate, and implement a cybersecurity lab’s information securityProviding support for facilitating and helping the lab identify its current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of security related to lab systemsAssisting the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to security requirementsImplementing and development of the DHS IT security standardsGathering and organizing technical information about the lab’s mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programsPerforming risk analyses which also includes risk assessmentPlanning and leading major technology assignmentsEvaluating performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and successFunctioning as a cyber technical expert across multiple project assignmentsRequired Skills:U.S. CitizenshipMust have an active Top Secret clearanceMust be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearanceMust be able to obtain DHS Suitability5+ years of directly relevant experience in information security managementExperience working on multiple complex assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasksAbility to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignmentsKnowledge of Computer Network Defense (CND) policies, procedures & regulationsKnowledge of defense-in-depth principles and network security architectureKnowledge of boundary protection and enclavingKnowledge of authentication and access management techniquesExperience with three or more of the following:Understanding of business security practices and proceduresWorking with current state of the art security toolsImplementing security controls for hardware and softwareEncryption techniques and toolsApplication of security practices in a cyber lab environmentMust be able to work collaboratively across physical locationsDesired Skills:Experience leading and mentoring technical teamsExperience with Xacta and CSAMExperience with Splunk, Tenable SC and End GameExperience with Net AppRequired Education:BS Information Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related degree.
