SUMMARY:As part of the Events, Conferences, & Support Services team, this position is responsible for physically setting up furniture, staging, installations, and relatedelements for campus events, projects, and office moves; and makes deliveries and performs assembly or breakdown of equipment and furnishings, as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:Performs work collaboratively as a team, and independently with minimal supervisionDemonstrated customer service skillsPossesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environmentStrong verbal communication and listening skillsAbility to simultaneously handle multiple prioritiesExcellent organizational skillsGeneral knowledge of the use of small electric and hand tools, basic furniture repair, forklifts, and the operation of various sizes of trucksGeneral computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to learn new computer software programsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:H.S. Diploma or GED required2-4 years' experience in customer services, carpentry, and/or operating a forklift requiredValid Virginia Driver's License with a driving record in good standing, upon hireWORK HOURS:Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm, however flexibility is required as this position may require weekend work (graduation, football games, reunion weekend, etc.)SALARY STRUCTURE:Pay Grade 3 (Hiring Range $16.81 to $19.75 per hour)
