Senior Automation Test Engineer - Remote

DescriptionWe are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the US.As a Senior Automation Test Engineer at ICFNext, you will apply your analytical and critical thinking skills to help solve client challenges. You will work in a fast-paced and diverse environment, enjoy flexible work arrangements, and will have a management team that encourages your career development and growth. This role requires strong automated testing skills in a Sitecore/C# development environment, the ability to properly prioritize, own and drive the work, and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams in an Agile environment.The WorkICF is supporting California State Government customer applications, which are built with Sitecore and React components. The delivery team consists of delivery support, front and back-end developers, UX/UI designers, content strategists, SMEs, business analysts, testers, and infrastructure and security professionals. The team works in 2-week iterations (10-week program increments) to develop new features, functionality, and modernization supporting both Information Technology and Marketing roadmaps.Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans.

Develop detailed test cases based, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional requirements and write automated test scripts.

Execute test cases to identify defects and ensure compliance with functional and accessibility requirements. Track defects with clear steps to reproduce.

Perform various types of testing including automated, functional, and regression testing on web applications.

Clearly identify, document, and prioritize defects, providing detailed information to developers and the team for resolution. Work with developers to perform root-cause analysis and to ensure the timely resolution of defects.

Generate and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.

Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on testing progress, results, and potential risks.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospective meetings.

Participate in sprint planning and work with the project team to identify risks/impacts in the system to be tested.

Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.

Advise on and advocate for rigorous QA processes and documentation on projects and within the organization. Supervise junior QA staff and mentor business analysts, front-end and back-end developers, project managers, and customer stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in various types of automated testing, including front-end, regression, and performance testing on web-based applications

3+ years of experience testing connections and functionality to 3rd party services

5+ years of experience writing test plans, test cases and test summary reports.

MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.) per contract requirements.

As a contractor to federal or state governments, all hires may be required to complete additional background screenings at the time of hire or any time thereafter as requested.

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor's degree

5+ years of experience testing website accessibility against Section 508, ADA Title II, and WCAG 2.0 AA standards

Experience working with Sitecore and C# websites.

Experience working with Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter.

Basic understanding of SQL for database testing.

Knowledge of version control systems (i.e. Git).

Certification in software testing is a plus.

Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills

Ability to work in a fast paced, multi workstream project team.

Very strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent attention to detail
