DescriptionThe Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for an International Trade Manager to work in our Bridgewater, VA or Reston, VA office. This role provides day-to-day trade compliance support to the Airborne Systems and Defense/Intel IT Business Areas. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting all export and import compliance activities within the Sector portfolio of contracts. The selected candidate will report to the Corporate Trade and International Business Compliance Director.This position requires day-to-day interface with Leidos management, contracts, engineering and proposal staff, as well as external customers and regulatory agencies. The ability to manage a high volume of complex work independently and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction is essential.Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as focal point, providing direction, input, and guidance to programs and employees related to export and import compliance (including ITAR, EAR, OFAC and U.S. Customs regulations).
Draft State Department export licenses, technical assistance agreements, and process ITAR exemption requests.
Draft Department Commerce export license applications, and process EAR exception requests.
Manage export and import authorization records in the Leidos’ records system.
Review International Business Review Board (IBRB) routings for export /import compliance.
Conduct export/import training for internal stakeholders. Review and adjudicate requests foreign travel and foreign visitors.
Conduct restricted party screenings.
Review and adjudicate documentation for public release.
Review and adjudicate international shipments.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
Perform projects and other duties as assigned or required to support Global Trade objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors in Business Administration (or related field) and 8+ years of relevant experience.Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
Prior experience must include at least 5 years in export / import compliance.
Proficiency with Department of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations.
US citizenship is required with an active Secret Clearance
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Defense Contract industry experience, including experience supporting Defense customers
Experienced with Airborne Systems
