Description

Expertise and Functions

  • Given loosely formed information on program operations the incumbent coordinates with personnel internal and external to the program to develop and write the details of high-level informational briefings, business strategy, organizational activities, white papers, and actions plans.
  • The incumbent formulates charters, study problem statements, objectives, and other documents outlining the scope and details of direction and tasking to be carried out by supporting project and study teams and working groups. The incumbent may also participate as a working member and leader in these projects, groups and studies.
  • The incumbent reviews policy, other program documentation, and information collected from interviews or surveys and uses this in analysis to identify as-is operations or to evaluate more effective or efficient approaches to accomplishing the program's mission.
  • The incumbent serves as subject matter expert supporting the program manager in preparing for program reviews, fleet meetings, executive board meetings and strategic planning sessions.
  • The incumbent writes point papers, reports, presentations, other written documents and as well as verbal reports and presentations to satisfy the requirements of this position.
  • The incumbent coordinates with Navy Fleet maintenance and calibration personnel to identify issues and to coordinate policy and process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Education/Training (both required and desired):
    • Bachelor's Degree in management or other relevant discipline required
    • Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience:
    • 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area
    • Supporting senior Government Civilians working at program leadership level within military organizations
    • Working with Naval Aviation weapon system acquisition, operations and maintenance, metrology and calibration programs
    • Participation and or facilitation of working groups on program objectives and plans
    • Expert knowledge of Naval Aviation maintenance and calibration programs
  • Security:
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
