TheVehicle Fleet Office will be the direct point of contactregarding the NS fleet of vehicles and will work in conjunction withSourcing, field, and various department management regarding the rightsizing of the fleet and the strategic plan for the retirement and purchasing of vehicles.Principal Duties:-Ensure that vehicles are compliant regarding FRA, DOT, ANSI, IRP, IFTAand FHWSA requirements and monthly reporting thereof.-Creates, updates, and ensures the accuracy of NS Vehicle Spec documents,to include build and specialized equipment spec requirements, and ensuresvendors build accordingly.-Collaborates with Fleet Group, Sourcing, field and group managementto identify potential opportunities and strategically and tactically initiatepractices for reducing maintenance costs and improving best practices.-Provide data and collaborate with vendors and Sourcing group on nationalaccount vendors and utilization.-Review and monitor repair and maintenance expenditures utilizingreports available through ARI and other web tools (such as Key PerformanceIndicators and Alert Reports) to facilitate cost savings.-Sample and monitor vehicle repair transactions made outside of the ARIrelationship to ensure proper compliance with the program.-Monitor reasonableness of repairs and maintenance activities based onvehicle characteristics such as type and age.-Monitoring vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure that this task isuniformly handled by assigned approvers on a consistent basis.-Review customized reports made available by ARI on a monthly basis.-Provide data on required reporting and ensure compliance of items suchas IFTP/IRP, FRA inspections, and ANSI.-Familiar with all applicable rules and regulations from states with NSregistered vehicles.-Analyze opportunities and coordinate component harvesting.-Assist in implementing educational programs and process changes acrossthe system.-Meet with field contacts for mechanical and audit and compliance issues.-Coordinate Vendor Optimization.-Review Non-Standard request regarding problem resolution and serve asback up approver.-Serve as a Truck Committee member-Assist in the analysis and coordination – Repair vs. Lease vs. Replaceprogram.Job Related Experience:Minimum Level: 3 - 5 yearsEducation:Preferred Level: Associate’s DegreePreferred Majors: Mechanical/engineering technologiesLicenses / Certifications:Required:Preferred:Technical Skills:MS Excel/Spreadsheets (Intermediate)MS PowerPoint/Presentations (Intermediate)Mechanical and Diagnostic (Advanced)Vehicle Design and optimization (Intermediate)Skills and Abilities:Written Communications (Advanced)Organization (Advanced)Financial (Advanced)Analytical Ability (Advanced)Verbal Communications (Advanced)Decision Making (Advanced)Problem Solving (Advanced)Automotive / Mechanical (Advanced)Career Path:Predecessor Jobs: Engineering Administration & Vehicle Fleet CoordinatorFuture Jobs: Manager Engineering Administration & Vehicle FleetJob FamilyIndividual / Team ContributorJob DescriptionPrimary Purpose:This position will support the responsibility of the department which is to ensure that all functions and processes encompassing the maintenance of the vehicle fleet and specified equipment are under compliance. The Fleet Administration Office will be the direct point of contact regarding the NS fleet of vehicles and will work in conjunction with Material Management regarding the right sizing of the fleet and the strategic plan for the retirement and purchasing of vehicles.Principal Duties:

ensure that vehicles are compliant regarding FRA, DOT, ANSI, IRP, IFTA and FHWSA requirements and monthly reporting thereof.

monitor the fuel/WEX card usage reports.

Utilizing reports from the ARI Database collaborate with MM Fleet Group to identify potential opportunities and strategically and tactically initiate practices for reducing maintenance costs.

Provide data on national Account utilization.

review and monitor repair and maintenance expenditures Utilizing reports available through ARI's web tool (such as Key Performance Indicators and Alert Reports) to facilitate cost savings.

Sample and monitor Vehicle repair transactions made outside of the ARI relationship to ensure proper compliance with the program.

Provide data on employee Utilization of automated E-mail authorization.

monitor reasonableness of repairs and maintenance activities based on vehicle characteristics such as type and age.

monitoring Vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure that this task is uniformly handled on a consistent basis.

review customized reports made available by ARI on a monthly basis.

Provide data on required reporting such as IFTP/IRP, FRA inspections, and ANSI.

familiar with all applicable Rules and regulations from states with NS registered vehicles.

analyze opportunities for component harvesting.

Perform analysis on Fleet right sizing.

Provide reporting on inventory Management such as valid VIN numbers and data changes.

assist in implementing educational programs and process changes across the system.

meet with Field contact for audit and Compliance issues.

Coordinate Vendor optimization.

review non-standard request regarding Problem resolution and Serve as back up approver.

Serve as a truck Committee member

assist in the analysis and Coordination repair vs. lease vs. replace program.
