Accounting Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist located in Norfolk, Massachusetts, United States. This role primarily involves accounting functions within our team, demanding proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Responsibilities: Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Manage data entry tasks efficiently Oversee and process weekly and monthly orders Key in vendor credits as required Manage a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis using the AS400 system Utilize intermediate excel skills for various accounting tasks Maintain accurate customer credit records and take appropriate action as necessary Resolve customer inquiries related to accounting functions Monitor customer accounts and process customer credit applications. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge of Billing Functions Proficiency in using AS400 Ability to perform data analysis and report findings Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
