GDIT is seeking a Sr Network Engineer to join the DCGS Operations Center (DOC) program at Langley AFB, VA.The Senior Network Engineer supports the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (PED) Operations Center (DOC) at Langley AFB, Va The Senior Network Engineer performs the configuration, integration, and upgrading of all network architectural components across the AF DCGS Enterprise as well as configuration, integration of enterprise monitoring tools.Task: Tier 3 Network Infrastructure Management and Solarwinds Manager

Position Description

The Solarwinds Engineer will be supporting the AF DCGS Enterprise and the Solarwinds Architecture.

The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing technologies for the monitoring and automation of the enterprise datacenters and cloud environments.

This role involves creating standard processes and procedures for the monitoring of the hardware and software.

The Solarwinds Engineer must be able to work effectively with the Enterprise Architects, OS engineers, and operation support teams to provide training, develop guidelines and serve as a subject matter expert for the enterprise monitoring solution.

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:Experience engineering/administering a wide variety of server infrastructures. Experience administering / deploying infrastructure devices such as servers, switches, routers, firewalls. Experience with SNMPv3 network management tools, security management tools, traffic analysis tools, including NetFlow and NetFlow collectors, network management tools, Cisco Prime Infrastructure Knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto networking devices, SPLUNK, and VMWare. Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of computer hardware, Servers, PCs, Laptops, Printers & Peripherals. Demonstrated leadership capabilities.Duties include:Analyzing requirements, designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise monitoring tools and the supporting infrastructure.Developing and implementing custom Solarwinds dashboards and alerts to meet the requirements of the application teams, customers and other support teams.Developing standard operating procedures and user guides for the enterprise monitoring solutions.Identifying and developing ways to improve and automate monitoring to gain operational efficiencies and improve responsiveness.Defining, creating, and maintaining processes required to monitor production and development environments to ensure a proactive approach for addressing alerts or problems.Defining and maintaining monitoring products and component standards for monitoring capabilities to deliver a flexible, scalable, secure, reliable, resilient, and cost effective set of datacenter and cloud monitoring services.Working with application teams, customers and other support teams to co-ordinate and facilitate incident triage and timely resolution of production monitoring issues.Managing Serena tickets and service requests to ensure a resolution in a timely and efficient manner.KSAs :

BS/BA degree and 7+ years of experience

Minimum of seven (7) years of Network Infrastructure Management experience

Possess an IAT Level II certification and CCNP. CCNP may be substituted for CCNA and (4) years of enterprise networking experience
