At GDIT you’ll be at the forefront of innovation and play a meaningful part in improving how agencies operate.General Dynamics Information Technology, a world leader in Defense IT Systems Integration and Services is seeking a Network Administrator Advisor to join its Air Force (AF) Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Enterprise Product Support (EPS) team to provide modernization, integration and sustainment engineering, sustainment planning, systems/Software (SW)/baseline testing, integrated cyber security support, Enterprise Services Support (ESS), Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) support, cloud migration, and Hardware (HW)/SW installation and removal services for the integrated sustainment of the AF DCGS. This includes lab support for operational, production, and test environments. The required services shall be provided primarily at Robins AFB, GA; Beale AFB, CA; Hanscom AFB, MA; and JBLE, VA, Hawaii, Korea, and Germany. However, support is also required at other locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and OCONUS.HOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provides full lifecycle network infrastructure and administration support for the installation, tuning, testing, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break/fix, and management, maintenance, and administration of the network infrastructure environment, supporting the LAN, WAN, MAN, or CAN across the enterprise

Monitors network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability

Monitors and tests website performance to ensure websites operate correctly and without interruption

Assists in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software

Administers network security measures

Supports all transmission/transport mediums (VPNs, dedicated circuits, broadband, etc.) and works with public carriers and other circuit providers to deliver network services

Provides configuration management support in accordance with compliance and policies and procedures, using configuration management systems to record, track, monitor, and update component configurations and configuration items and changes and account for assets.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: BA/BS or MA/MS

Required Experience:10+ years of experience

Required Technical Skills: Security+ required. System Administrator 451 compliant

Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibility

Preferred Skills: IAT Level 1 and CCNA or higher desired

Location: Customer Site
