Position Summary:
Facilitate patient flow through the Emergency Department toprovideoptimumefficiency in department resources andtimelymanagement of patient care.
Coordinate patient flow in an efficient manner through collaboration with hospital and medical staff.
Determinebed placement of EMS and walk-in patients in collaboration with the charge nurse.
Coordinate andfacilitatetransfers out of the ED (facility transfers and admissions).
Coordinate tasks toexpeditepatient throughput such as cleaning patient rooms, discharging patients, and transporting patients.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team toidentifyand resolve issues related to patient throughput

Graduate of a Program in Professional Nursingrequired.
Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact Staterequired
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Previousexperience in acute care hospital setting preferred
