You will be part of the Benchmark Improvement Program Team collaborating across the UVA health system.This role will derive and prioritize the most pertinent strategic insights to shape business strategy with measurable outcomes. Make insights easily digestible, accessible, and business-friendly for executive-level and specialties/Divisions to support data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role will provide real time analytics, generating insights to inform decisions across the business, maximizing opportunities and ensuring operational execution is optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.This role uses a combination of strategic thinking and analytical skills to help improve benchmark programs. This role will support the Director of Benchmark Improvement Programs.This role will serve as a crucial link between Analytics & Reporting, clinical operations, Specialties, and executives’ teams to effectively meet benchmark improvement goals.You are good at: Analytical thinking: You possess the ability to structure, design and conduct analyses to answer strategic and operational questions. Define, plan, and manage programs and projects that support our strategic goals.
Attend committees and coalitions to understand the opportunities and connect the dots for improvement.
Monitor program progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure projects are completed on time
Analyze internal and external data and trends to provide insights that guide business improvement decisions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data analysis
Your responsibilities will extend to strategic planning, project leadership, and spearheading process improvements within the Benchmark Improvement Program.
Data Driven Decision-making
Interpret data and analyze results to find those insights using any means necessary, including statistical techniques
Utilize analytical skills to make data-driven recommendations and provide valuable insights to drive business improvements.
Identify critical KPI and metrics that can be used to iterate and improve organizational performance year over year.
Lead the development of critical analytic processes comparing current performance against benchmarks to determine areas of focus and opportunity and help maintain industry competitiveness and intelligence.
Skill Requirement
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and complex analytical techniques.
Strong communication skills coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Proficient in analyzing large datasets from various sources, extracting relevant insights, and translating them into actionable recommendations.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling presentations and reports.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is preferred.
Knowledge/Experience with healthcare data, claims data a plus
Knowledge of USNWR methodology and Vizient database highly desirable
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent time management abilities are required.
Experience leading analytical projects from inception to completion, while managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
Adherence to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines governing data privacy, patient confidentiality, and industry compliance, ensuring that analytical activities are conducted with integrity and transparency.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to work well with people from different disciplines at all levels, and with varying degrees of business or technical knowledge.
Position Compensation Range: $118,123.20 - $188,988.80 AnnualMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s degreeExperience:
Bachelor's degree required in related field or in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Finance, Business Strategy and Economics.
7+ years of experience in strategic insights, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights in a business setting.
Knowledge of USNWR methodology and Vizient database highly desirable
Experience in healthcare or hospitals, consulting, startup industry preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated initiative, strategic thinking, and creativity.
