Job Title: Medical Assistant - ArlingtonJob DescriptionThe Medical Assistant is essential during patient visits, accompanying the dermatologist in the room and promoting a friendly and efficient environment for patients, staff, and dermatologists.Responsibilities
Rooming patients and documenting all vital information
Scribing information for the dermatologist
Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
Scheduling patient appointments
Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as surgical photographs, biopsies (punch, DIF, and shave), excisions, electrodessication and curettage, I&D, Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, phototherapy, injections, Koh preps, trichograms, Tzank preps, dermabrasion, patch testing, and blue light treatments
Essential Skills
Medical assisting experience
Dermatology experience
Scribe experience highly preferred
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
Minimum 1 year retention
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum high-school education
Non-Certified Medical Assistants will need to complete the certification program within the prescribed time period and maintain certification upon expiration
Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30am to 5pm, and Wednesday from 6:30am to 3pm. The office environment is great and offers employee discounts.
