Open Source/Social Media Analyst Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Open Source/Social Media Analyst to join our team. This pivotal role involves analyzing traditional and social media trends online as well as networking patterns to enhance situational awareness for our federal agency clients. The Analyst will play a key role in synthesizing this information into comprehensive summary reports and contributing to the development of targeted media and social networking reports.Location: Alexandria, VAFSLA Status:Full-TimeCitizenship:Applicants must be U.S. CitizensPosition Type:Remote/Shift WorkClearance Level:NonePrimary Duties & Responsibilities

Assess and interpret online media and social networking trends.

Prepare and disseminate analytical summary reports for federal clients.

Assist in developing specialized reports on media and social networking topics.

Manage and operate web-based applications and tools relevant to social media analysis.

Stay abreast of emerging trends, practices, programs, and applications in the social media/networking field.

Participate in rotational shift work to ensure 24/7 operational coverage, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Political Science, International Relations, Intelligence Studies etc.

Proficiency in utilizing resources and tools for accessing and disseminating social networking information.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on the latest trends and practices in social media/networking.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in National/Homeland Security, either through education or experience.

At least one year of relevant experience in professional use of social network tools and platforms.

Experience in government or military operations centers is advantageous but not mandatory.

Previous experience in an information-sharing or processing environment.
