ROOTS BUILDERS PROJECT MANAGER
Roots Builders is a Vermont custom home builder specializing in high performance new residential construction and renovations. We have many exciting projects scheduled and are currently hiring for a new Project Manager. The ideal candidate is organized, focused, and able to balance multiple deadlines and priorities. This role requires the ability to collaborate with others with a high level of partnership and accountability, as well as the ability to self-motivate and work independently. A successful member of the Roots Builders team is kind, flexible, and dedicated to providing excellent service to our community.
The goal of the Project Manager is to work the sales and design process toward completion in a timely manner by creating estimated costs and scopes of work, organized digitally. This position serves as a reliable, accessible, and knowledgeable resource for clients, including facilitating meetings regarding the project schedule, budget updates, change orders, increases in project scopeany and all design and project changes throughout the project. This is a full-time position expected to work 40 hours per week with 80-90% of those hours billable to clients as project development and project management time.
Responsibilities include:
- Effective and Clear communication with all Project Participants
- Communicating with the Client and Architect to Ensure the Client’s Vision
- Scheduling of Vendors and Subcontractors
- Managing Estimates, Budgeting and Expense Tracking with Assistance from the Bookkeeper
- Permit Submission and Design Evaluation
- Crew Time Management
- Processing Change Orders
- Overseeing Each Project from Start to Finish
Experience:
- Previous Work in the Construction Industry, including Project Management, Estimating, Budgeting, and/or Site Supervision
- Proficient with Technology, i.e. Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Estimating Software
- Building Science and/or High-Performance Home Building Knowledge Desirable
Pay and Benefits:
- $35-$45 / hour Based on Experience
