Position Title: Housing Programs Coordinator

Reports to: Federal Housing Programs Director

Location: Primarily at VHCB Offices, 58 East State St, Montpelier VT. Some remote work possible.

Position Summary:

The Housing Programs Coordinator is a central role of the VHCB Housing team, providing administrative support to a breadth of housing programs that help ensure adequate housing and a safe place to live for all Vermonters. VHCB administers a variety of State and Federally- funded housing programs and supports a network of non-profit housing development partners throughout the State. Split between general housing support and Federal programs, duties include tracking and updating project information, compliance monitoring, project database updates and reporting, document management, and helping the housing team to operate effectively and efficiently. The Housing Programs Coordinator will support such as HOME Investment Partnerships Program, National Housing Trust Fund, Housing Opportunities for People With AIDS, Congressionally Delegated Spending, and others.

Qualifications:

Experience conducting administrative activities in an office setting

Ability to learn and utilize database and document management systems

Proficient with Microsoft Office software with an aptitude for learning new software and systems;

Excellent oral and written communication skills;

Ability to maintain confidentiality of programmatic information;

Experience in developing internal systems;

Dedicated and motivated team member;

Highly organized, attention to detail, and file management skills to maintain organized records and documents;

Ability to travel statewide for meetings and conferences;

Committed to supporting VHCB’s mission;

Desire/ability to improve efficiency of technology systems a plus

Experience with affordable housing programs a plus

Compensation: $51,500 – $56,000 commensurate with experience. Excellent comprehensive benefits package including generous health care plan, dental coverage, life insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, employee assistance program, and more.
