AI Inc has an opening for a Surface Mount Technician knowledgeable in the use of pick-and-place systems, reflow ovens, screen printers and solder paste inspection to assemble printed circuit boards to insure maximum efficiency for various industrial applications.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for set-up, operation, troubleshooting and rework of the pick-and-place machine, reflow oven, solder paste screening machine and stencil printer
Follow electrical and mechanical drawings as well as BOM’s
Hand soldering and rework jobs
Self-tests and inspects assemblies with tools such as calipers and multimeter tool
Skills and Qualifications:
Using hand tools and various measurement tools
Must be able to multi-task and excellent time management skills
Electronics or equivalent manufacturing experience
Must be able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude and be able to work in a team environment
Due to the complexity of the process, the successful candidate must have a strong attention to detail and a high sense of quality
Strong written and verbal communication
Computer knowledgeable; desired candidate has experience in SolidWorks and digital documentation
A background in CNC/PLC programming is advantageous. Understanding x & y co-ordinates are equivalent backgrounds to this skill.
Education: H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.
Compensation Range DOE: $22-$27 hourly rate
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (4.5 day work week), No Nights/Weekends, Flexible hours.
