Production Technician Job Summary
Location: South Burlington, Vermont
We are currently seeking reliable, hard-working production workers for our expanding operation. The positions are in South Burlington, Vermont. In this role, you will be a valuable part of our production team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality.
Production Technician Duties and Responsibilities
Produces equipment by assembling parts and subassemblies.
Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals.
Follow all written and verbal instructions.
Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Fabricating packaging for shipment.
Executing on material transactions in our ERP system.
Production Technician Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
2+ years' experience working in industrial production or in the electrical field is strongly preferred
Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals
Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
Mechanical and technical skills
Physical stamina and strength
Safety management mindset
Focus on quality control.
Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
Good communication skills
Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching
Able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
Able to work 8-hour shifts standing.
Reliable and punctual
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
