Important Details: Bonuses are paid out in 3 payments: $3,333 at 30 days of hire, $3,333 at 6 Months of Hire, and $3,334 at 1-Year of Hire. To be eligible, you must be a non-BILH employee or a previous eligible employee who returns to BILH after 1 year. Employee must be in good standing to receive the bonus at the time of payment. Per Diem roles are not eligible. All bonuses are subject to applicable taxes. If you leave Lahey Health & Medical Center before your first anniversary you will pay back the sign-on bonus to Lahey Health & Medical Center. This program is subject to change at any point.Job Description:Under supervision, the Cardiovascular (CV) Technician operates equipment to measure and record heart action by monitoring and graphically tracing electrical activity occurring during the heartbeat.Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:1) Obtains information for the electrocardiograph records, which include patient identification, history, and medication use.2) Escorts patient to the treatment room or wheels equipment to the patient’s bedside.3) Explains test procedures and gives instructions to patients.4) Attaches electrodes from specified body areas to leads from the electrocardiograph machine.5) Takes heart tracings machine. Recognizes emergencies and notifies physician if necessary.6) Identifies abnormal heart rhythms on tracings.7) Marks tracing paper to indicate electrode positions, pastes/labels tracings on mountings for physician’s interpretation.8) Cleans and maintains equipment, maintains supply levels and replaces defective stylus.9) Performs clerical tasks as needed.10) Incorporates Lahey Clinic Guiding Principles, Mission Statement and Goals into daily activities.11) Complies with all Lahey Clinic Policies.12) Complies with behavioral expectations of the department and Lahey Clinic.13) Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.14) Demonstrates an understanding of the job description, performance expectations and competency assessment.15) Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to Customer Service standards.16) Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.17) Participates in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.18) Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Requires high school diplomaLicensure, Certification, Registration:Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet organizational standards.Experience: PreferredFLSA Status:Non-ExemptAs a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
