Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Burlington, NC. The ideal candidate will work to improve supply chain stability, ensuring smooth production operations and customer satisfaction. Under limited supervision, you will lead supplier crisis mitigation, manage supplier performance, and support other core business activities. You will also handle complex supplier situations and participate in broad scope projects.Responsibilities

Collaborate with suppliers and other business units to achieve supplier stability.

Minimize supplier touchpoints through optimized activities.

Clearly summarize each supplier situation, communicating issues, impacts, root causes, and countermeasures effectively.

Initiate and support situation appraisal and analysis of supplier crises on specific parts or assembly processes.

Coordinate and support the implementation of immediate corrective action plans at critical suppliers.

Support communication, interaction, and summary reviews with suppliers and management.

Engage in proactive projects such as capacity management and part non-conformances.

Complete reporting and onsite visit activities for root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.

Engage in continuous improvement through Plan Do Check Action (PDCA) for areas of responsibility.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent related experience.

2-8 years of relevant engineering experience.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes including stamping, welding, assembly, material flow, electronics, casting, and machining.

Experience in troubleshooting manufacturing, tooling, and processes.

Strong supplier experience and good communication skills.

Self-motivated and disciplined.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience within a manufacturing facility.

Ability to work with suppliers, identify issues, and implement solutions.

Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, mostly within the US, with potential travel to Europe.

Ability to obtain a passport.

Experience in stamping, forging, manufacturing, welding, and fabrication is a plus.

Experience with AS9100 is not required but is a plus.

Work EnvironmentThe role requires a strong sense of urgency and flexibility to respond to critical issues and unplanned risk events. You must be able to travel at a moment's notice to confirm supplier situations (50% travel time). You will work in an open office environment, at supplier operations, or conduct business virtually. The role may require working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts on a limited basis to support on-site supplier crises. Additionally, you may need to work up to 5-15 extra hours each week as needed. Relocation assistance and a bonus are provided. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00Health, Dental, Vision, 401K 8%.
