Accountant

Description We are located in South Jordan, Utah, and are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant. This role focuses on a variety of accounting functions, and will require proficiency in Great Plains Software and strong Excel skills. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in accounting functions, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, accruals, depreciation, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, general ledger, and journal entries.Responsibilities: Utilize Great Plains Software for various accounting functions Handle accounts payable and receivable efficiently Oversee the management of fixed assets Handle accruals and depreciation in a timely and accurate manner Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance Conduct balance sheet reconciliations Carry out bank reconciliations Maintain an accurate general ledger Prepare journal entries as needed Leverage strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting role Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC) Demonstrated knowledge of accounting functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Fixed Assets, Accruals, and Depreciation Proven skills in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation Experience with Bank Reconciliations Proficiency in General Ledger management Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Excellent communication and organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
