Description Job Type: Short-term Contract / TemporaryLocation: Salt Lake City, UtahRobert Half is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant in the Salt Lake City area. As this position is temporary and needs to be promptly filled, we encourage you to apply immediately.Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls in collaboration with business partners.

Enhancing the automation of accounting and reporting processes regularly.

Preparing and reconciling Balance Sheet accounts.

Conducting monthly accounting close procedures, deliverables, and compartmental business reconciliations according to GAAP.

Carrying out monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting.

Participating in a range of department-wide initiatives.

Preparing for and facilitating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors.

Performing other given projects as required and delivering financial data analysis and reports promptly and accurately.

Demonstrating competency in ASC 842, SAP, and fixed asset accounting.

Handling month-end closings and full-function fixed asset management, including asset impairments, transfers between entities.

Conducting fixed assets audits, intervention in 842 Lease Accounting, performing monthly SOX controls, and managing reduction in force accruals.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS in Accounting. CPA credentials are preferred. SEC reporting and SOX compliance experience is a plus. A minimum of 5-7 years of general accounting experience, auditing expertise, and a proven ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment are required.
