The ideal candidate will be passionate about research and physical therapy.Below are the preferred skills, experiences, and qualities for the ideal candidate:Educational Background:

Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., physical therapy, kinesiology, biomedical sciences).

Strong academic performance, particularly in research and physical therapy courses.

Research Skills:

Prior experience in a research setting (e.g., previous research assistant positions, lab work).

Knowledge of research methodologies, data collection, and data analysis.

Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS , R, SAS )

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience with data management software and databases.

Ability to learn and use lab-specific software and equipment.

Communication Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to write clear and concise research reports and summaries.

Experience presenting research findings in academic or professional settings.

Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.

Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to work effectively as part of a research team.

Interest in Physical Therapy:

Demonstrated interest in physical therapy, particularly in pelvic floor physical therapy.

Responsibilities

Monitors enrollment goals and initiates strategies to promote enrollment and participant compliance. Coordinates and performs responsibilities related to research participants, including determining subject population availability, developing informed consent and screening materials, screening and recruiting subjects, scheduling visits, obtaining informed consent, answering subject inquiries, collecting participant data, overseeing study visits, and acting as a point-of-contact between participants and study-related parties.

Develops and maintains participant and study databases.

Assists the Principal Investigator and research team in the development of study protocols, study design, and preparation of research projects

Minimum QualificationsThis position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.This is a Work-Study position. Students must have been awarded a Federal Work-Study Award for the current year and be enrolled in classes at the U during their time of employment.Preferences

Experience with grant writing or funding applications.

Familiarity with academic publishing and manuscript preparation.

Previous volunteer or clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
