Interim Sr. Cost Accountant

Description We are in search of a Senior Cost Accountant in the Manufacturing industry, to be located in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries. The role offers a contract employment opportunity and requires strong collaboration skills and a comprehensive understanding of GAAP accounting.Responsibilities: Conduct month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting Perform balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee the accuracy of financial data Prepare and post closing journal entries to maintain accurate financial records Conduct variance analyses to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions Handle ad hoc reporting tasks as needed, providing key insights for decision-making Manage warranty accruals to ensure appropriate financial provisions are made Utilize SAP software for efficient and reliable financial data management Ensure compliance with GAAP Accounting principles in all accounting operations Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Utilize BlackLine tool for efficient account reconciliation and financial close management Perform inventory analysis and reconciliation to maintain accurate inventory records.Requirements Proven experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting Proficiency in performing Month End Close and Journal Entries Expertise in Month-end Journal Entries Familiarity with SAP software Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation Proficient in Inventory Analysis and Inventory Reconciliation Experience in conducting Internal Audits Knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Experience in using BlackLine software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
