Description Robert Half is recruiting an Interim Sr. Accountant to assist our not for profit client in the Salt Lake metro area for a 6-8 week-long engagement. The role will support the VP of Finance with core accounting functions and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have superb attention to detail and organizational abilities.Responsibilities:
Perform monthly account reconciliations, investigating, and rectifying discrepancies.
Ensure full adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal procedures.
provide fluctuation analyses of the P& L and work cross-functionally to obtain details for the fluctuations.
Perform a comprehensive reconciliation of investment account activities.
Collaborate across departments for proper revenue documentation, resolve related queries, and offer ad hoc support to the finance team
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role in the Accounting field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. Solid understanding of Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. Hands-on experience with the General Ledger and Journal Entries. Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is required. Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software will be beneficial. Experience in Fund Accounting in a Non-Profit setting and Grant Accounting is a plus. Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
