Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced and driven Security Analyst II to join our client's growing IT department. This is a high-impact, hands-on role in a contract-to-hire capacity. The ideal candidate will engage in the analysis, investigation and resolution of security alerts and breaches. The incumbent will also play a vital role in escalating the security hygiene within the organization with a focus on Enterprise Network and Data Center systems.The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of VMware, with which most of our systems operate, and will be comfortable working in a virtualized environment. Windows Server experience is desirable, as nearly all of the systems utilize thgat.The role requires extensive use of M365, and a familiarity with Azure is a plus, as this is an area of anticipated growth for the organization. Proficiency with Cisco integrated firewalls, endpoint protection, and email security is expected, as these are fundamental to ensuring the integrity of our client's systems.The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently and eager to expand their knowledge and understanding. Professional curiosity is a paramount characteristic we look for, as continuous learning is essential for keeping pace with the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats.Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze and respond proactively to security alerts and breaches.
Contribute to the improvement of security hygiene within the organization.
Engage with enterprise network and data center systems architecture.
Manage security aspects within a virtualized VMware environment and Windows Server platforms.
Oversee M365, Azure, Cisco firewall, endpoint protection, and email security protocols.
Requirements
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience working in a similar position.
Proficiency in VMware and Windows Server systems.
Strong working knowledge of M365 and Azure.
Competency with Cisco integrated firewalls, email and endpoint protection.
Excellent soft skills, with an ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Robust analytical abilities and a passion for learning.
