Description We are offering a position for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Spring, Texas. In this role, you will handle the accounts payable work for multiple manufacturing entities, process a high volume of transactions, and work closely with the Corporate Operational Accounting Manager.Responsibilities: Receive and process a high volume of invoices through multiple email channels Categorize and sort invoices by location across multiple entities within the organization Route invoices appropriately for approval Code invoices accurately and assess use tax when applicable Manually input invoices into accounting software Create weekly check registers and issue payments Prepare monthly accounts payable aging reconciliations Maintain use tax logs and file returns in multiple states Address vendor and internal accounts payable inquiries Reconcile credit cards and create monthly accruals Generate intercompany journal entries when necessary Provide support for audit requests Perform ad hoc reportingRequirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Experience in check processing is essential. Familiarity with Sage Software is a plus. Ability to perform intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Experience in coding invoices accurately for financial recording. Proficiency in processing invoices in a timely and efficient manner. Understanding of accruals and monthly accruals in financial accounting. Ability to perform reconciliations of account balances. Experience in creating journal entries for financial transactions. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills. Detail-oriented and able to work with a high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on information available.
