Description A client of ours is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for their team in Spring, Texas. The role's primary function is to manage accounts payable operations within the organization. This includes processing invoices, establishing accounts with vendors, reconciling vendor statements, and providing general administrative support. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Review invoices for accurate documentation and approval before payment, and key them into the system. Establish accounts with new vendors by providing credit applications and references as required. Respond to vendor inquiries, research and resolve open issues promptly. Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests with high accuracy and efficiency. Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure the accuracy and completeness of transactions. Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all outstanding invoices are accounted for and resolved promptly. Code invoices with appropriate general ledger account numbers and cost centers for proper expense allocation. Communicate professionally and courteously with vendors regarding payment status, discrepancies, and invoice inquiries. Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and documentation for audit and reference purposes. Provide general administrative support to executives and other staff members as needed. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including sorting, distributing, and processing. Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
