At iHeartMedia we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace and are looking for teammates passionate about what we do!What We Need:The Senior Employment Counsel is responsible for advising and being a trusted partner with business and HR leaders on a regular basis on all aspects of labor and employment.What You'll Do:

Provide advice and counsel to human resources, business clients, and executives on a variety of employment and traditional labor matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour laws, family and medical leave laws, and restrictive covenants, including as it relates to the union workforce.

Review and respond to labor and employment-related claims, including charges, complaints, and attorney demand letters.

Manage and support outside counsel in employment litigation matters in administrative agencies, courts, and arbitration.

Oversee the drafting of employment contracts and separation agreements, and provides advice regarding those transactions.

Interprets and advises business leaders related to appropriate handling of employee matters, including under collective bargaining agreements.

Assist with in-house development of processes and policies to handle current and potential employment law issues.

Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

Minimum of 5-7 years of employment law experience in top law firm and/or working as an in-house lawyer is required.

Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.

Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Must be detailed oriented – with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. “Following-up until resolved” skills a must.

Bachelor’s degree.

Juris Doctorate degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.

Licensed member of a state bar in good standing.

Experience with California laws and regulations a plus.
