We are looking for a dedicated Director of Physician Contract Administration like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsSeeking a Division Director of Physician Contract Administration who oversees the contracting process for physician services agreements and physician owned vendors to ensure compliance with all aspects of the contract process policies and procedures. Responsible for obtaining initial internal approvals, drafts or oversees the drafting of contracts from initial request to final execution and loading in appropriate database(s), maintains timely renewal of existing contracts. Establishes and maintains relationships between the system contracting department and facility administration, legal counsel, and other relevant parties as needed. Supervises as appropriate and generates reports, as needed and creates and maintains a method for tracking contracts once initiated or for renewal purposes, including identifying those needing Fair Market Value well in advance of start date. Oversees the maintenance and integrity of the Contract Management database “Meditract” to ensure data entry at the Facility level is accurate to ensure appropriate time lines are followed. Oversee and/or perform daily operations and implementation of physician or physician owned vendor contracting process for local contracts within the system and its facilities including, but not limited to, using Meditract, and other contract applications.

Coordinate the contracting process from pre-approval of concepts through final execution of the agreement. This will include serving as the clearinghouse for all system or facility staff and departments who wish to enter into a contractual relationship with a physician, group or physician owned vendor entity.

Educate hospital staff members regarding the contracting process and lead follow-up refresher courses and trainings as necessary.

Serve as a resource to System and facility CEO’s, CFO’s or their designees for support and interpretation of contracting processes including appropriate and consistent utilization of the Physician Access Work Flow System (PAWs) calculator and/or requests for Fair Market value (FMV).

Responsible for maintaining an accurate tracking system of expiration dates of all physician contracts, and associated FMV’s and timely reminders to facility leaders and support staff.

Coordinate the request for and collaborate with valuator firms, as needed to determine FMV assessments and requests.

Support and participate in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality and efficiency of services provided by the Office of General Counsel

Track/update the contract preparation/review process, as needed.

Ensure the necessary signatures or approvals are obtained on the contract and other required documents in a timely manner.

Disseminate the contract as necessary to the parties and pertinent internal departments.

What qualifications you will need:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in similar field.

5+ years of experience in medical business operations (hospital administration or physician practice preferred).

Extensive knowledge of contracting systems, a clear understanding of contract law, and a comprehensive knowledge of healthcare business and finance.

Knowledge/Abilities Skills Required:

General knowledge of healthcare industry

General knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, compliance and relevant state and federal laws

High degree of initiative, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

Strong written and verbal skills, ability to use databases, Microsoft Office, and other software applications.

Strong ability to multi-task and handle various requests from multiple facility needs.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
