YCPF Level: D1Location: San AntonioDept.: Development/FoundationBusiness Unit: BioBridge GlobalGeneral SummaryIn concert with the Executive Director and the Foundation Executive Committee, this position is responsible for planning and executing operations of the Blood & Tissue Center Foundation and its Board, including developing and managing relationships with board members and overseeing fundraising events. Works in collaboration with the Executive Director and Director of Development to plan fundraising strategy and cultivates potential individual and family foundation candidates for major gifts donations to increase financial support for the mission of BioBridge Global. Works with BioBridge Global Business Units and Support Services to plan and execute Foundation outreach efforts to help raise awareness of the mission of the organization. Ensures activities of the Foundation and the Development Department are completed in a timely manner and within budget.Commit to and abide by the character of BioBridge Global’s Core Values of Accountability, Stewardship, Pioneer, Integrity, Respect and Excellence (ASPIRE). Support, communicate and reinforce the mission and vision of the enterprise.Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential TasksDevelop and manage relationships with Foundation board members to ensure engagement and support for fundraising and awareness efforts among individual members.With the Executive Director and Board Chairs, work with the board committee chairs to plan and carry out Foundation activities and programs.Guide and help execute efforts of Board committees planning fundraising initiatives such as the annual gala, golf tournament and other fundraising events, in collaboration with Executive Director and Director of Development.Working with the Executive Director and Board Chairs, plan and execute awareness/educational activities such as lunch & learn events and other outreach directed to community leaders, stakeholders and public officials to help raise awareness for the mission and programs of BioBridge Global.Maintain close working relationship with BBG business units, management, Foundation Board Directors and other volunteers.Organize Foundation/Development meetings and events to include preparation of appropriate documents and overseeing development of invitations, audio/visual, and other logistical support.Assist the Executive Director with the preparation and review of contracts and agreements germane to Foundation activities.Review all costs assigned to or incurred by Foundation/Development activities to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of the expense. Bring outliers to the attention of the Executive Director or Financial Services.Serve as co‐administrator with Director of Development to manage, reconcile and update all customerrelationship management systems, fund tracking systems, and Development databases.Ensure all documents, records, and correspondence such as tax forms, letters to financial donors, thank you letters and other forms of correspondence are produced, distributed and managed in accordance with Foundation, regulatory and BBG retention policies.Assist with written solicitations and grants as needed.Work with Financial Services to ensure that funds and in‐kind gifts are recorded in accordance with laws and policies.Performs other duties as assigned.Non-Essential TasksMaintains compliance with all BBG policies.EducationRequires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.Licenses and/or CertificationsValid United States Driver’s LicenseExperienceRequires five or more years of job specific experience in nonprofit/volunteer board support or management, event planning and management, and fundraising support or communications experience.KnowledgeMust maintain knowledge of and perform according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.Must gain and maintain knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements for federal and state legislation affecting charities.Must have advanced knowledge of foundation or fundraising management.SkillsMust be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions. Must have excellent management skills and strong interpersonal skills.Must have strong time management, public speaking, negotiation, and conflict management skills; strong organizational skills essential.Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and capabilities in appropriate computer and digital platforms.AbilitiesMust be able to keep information confidential. Must be neat in appearance and well groomed.Must be professional, detail oriented, self-motivated, innovative, creative, collaborative, assertive, organized, communicative, and have the ability to work independently.Must maintain a good working rapport with members of the Foundation.Working EnvironmentWorks in a well-lighted, air conditioned and heated office. May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment. May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend. Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required. Occupational Exposure Assignment - Category IIPhysical RequirementsMust be able to drive on behalf of the organization. Will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours.
