Director of Accounting

Description · Oversee monthly close process, including journal entry review, financial reporting, reconciliations, and payroll supervision.· Manage and review activities of accounting department staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and talent development.· Supervise payroll and bank reporting functions, ensuring compliance and proper configuration of systems.· Assist with annual budget preparation and reconciliation, as well as journal entry preparation and review.· Conduct monthly variance analysis and ensure accurate categorization of budget items.· Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.· Ensure asset protection through internal controls and GAAP compliance.· Research and implement automated solutions for departmental processes.· Collaborate with finance leadership on strategic planning and administration.· Coordinate annual 401k audit and review benefit documentation.· Support leadership with censuses, surveys, and provider payroll review.· Prepare interim financial statements and perform ad hoc reporting.· Handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA.· Undertake additional duties as assigned.Requirements · Extensive background spanning over 5 years in overseeing healthcare finance and accounting, encompassing tasks such as managing accounting processes and preparing financial statements.· Demonstrated leadership with over 3 years of experience in managerial or supervisory roles.· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a must-have· MBA/CPA is preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
